How to get here
We’re in Lengstein, a hamlet in the municipality of Ritten, 10 minutes’ drive from Klobenstein and 20 from Oberbozen. It takes 30 to 40 minutes by car to get down to Bolzano, and 12 by cable car from Oberbozen.
Coming from the south, take the Bolzano Nord/Bozen Nord exit and drive via Unterinn up to Mt Renon/Ritten; this involves a climb of around 950 metres and a winding half-hour drive. If you’re coming from the north, it’s best to turn off at Chiusa/Klausen and, from Waidbruck in the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal valley, take the quieter route via Barbian – which offers some lovely views – to reach us. You can park your car at the farm. After that, you’ll hardly need it: most of the walks start right outside our house.

Take the train to the provincial capital, Bolzano. It’s a five-minute walk from the train station to the valley station of the Renon/Rittner cable car, which runs every four minutes and arrives in Oberbozen after 12 minutes and a climb of 949 metres. At the top, you change to the Renon/Ritten train, a narrow-gauge railway dating from 1907, which takes 18 minutes to reach Klobenstein.
We’re happy to arrange a transfer for your arrival and departure. If you’d like to take the train at any point during your stay, the nearest station is a leisurely half-hour’s walk away.

How to get here in winter
The road is cleared; winter tyres are compulsory at this altitude in Italy, and snow chains must be carried in the car. If it’s snowing heavily, the cable car is the more reliable option, as it operates independently of the weather conditions. Please give us a call if you’re unsure. We check the weather every morning.
